Special Pay

  1. Child Care Allowance

    • Women with minimum disability of 40 % shall be paid Rs. 1000/- pm as special allowance for child care for two years from the birth of the child.
    • It shall be admissible for a maximum of two children.

  2. Washing Allowance

    • Applicable for all "D" employees and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) who have been supplied with uniforms.
    • Rate of the allowance is @ Rs.75 per month.
    • An undertaking from the staff should be furnished that they will report for duty in the uniform supplied to them.

  3. Overtime Allowance

    • Admissible to non-gazetted staff of certain categories who are drawing pay upto Rs. 2200/- in the pre revised scale of 4th Pay Commission.
    • However government orders based on the recommendation of 6th CPC are still awaited.

  4. Cash Handling allowance to Cashier

    • Admissible to LDCs/UDCs/ Assistants who perform the duties of cashiers and disburse cash payments excluding payments by cheques.
    • The allowance is not admissible to UDC cum cashiers as cash handling is part and parcel of their duty.
       

    Rates of Allowance

    Up to Rs.  50,000 Rs.150
    over Rs. 50,000 and up to Rs.  2,00,000 Rs.300
    over Rs 2,00,000 and up to Rs. 5,00,000 Rs.400
    over Rs.5,00,000 and up to Rs. 10,00,000 Rs.500
    Above Rs.10,00,000 Rs.600

     

  5. Non Practicing Allowance (NPA)

    • Admissible to Central Health Service Officers and Veterinary Doctors @ 25% of their band pay plus grade pay and whose band pay + grade pay is less than Rs. 85000/- per month.
